Hill Tribe Silver is made in northern Thailand by the Karen Hill tribe.  Each bead is handmade & the silver content is between 95-99% compared to 92.5% in Sterling Silver.  No two pieces are exactly alike.  Hill Tribe Silver also tends to tarnish less than Sterling Silver.  Karen Hill Tribe silver is fairly traded, which means that the workers are ensured fair wages and safe and healthy working environments.
